Jordan Eipp, PA-C, works in the cardiovascular and thoracic surgery unit at Oklahoma Heart Institute.
Eipp believes patient autonomy is one of the most important aspects of health care. He said, "It allows patients to take control of their own health and allows us, as health care professionals, to guide them towards optimal health. I believe when we allow the patient to be involved in the care we provide them, it leads to better patient outcomes and an overall increase in patient satisfaction."
Eipp said he has always been interested in joining the health care industry. "It was the best way I thought I could make an impact and serve my community," he said. "It's the mixture of science and art that I find the most facinating about this field and the connections you make with patients makes it all worthwhile."
When it comes to staying healthy, Eipp said, "Small lifestyle changes over time can have a large impact in our health. Health is not a race or a goal, but a lifestyle. Sometimes we do well and sometimes we fail. It's all part of the jouney and my job as a health care provider is to help guide you on that path. We are all in this together."
Eipp graduated from the University of Oklahoma (OU) in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in health and exercise science. He earned his Master of Science in physician assistant studies from OU-Tulsa in 2020.
Outside of the hospital, Eipp enjoys camping, hiking, video games, playing his guitar, smoking meats, weightlifting and just about anything competitive.
